How can I extend my stay once I’m there ?

You can extend your stay directly at the reception or book online depending on availability at hostel.mije.com

What is left to pay when we arrive ?

On your arrival, the tourist tax of the city of PARIS (1€) and the membership to our association (3€) will have to be paid on the spot.

I have made several reservations for shared rooms and/or private rooms; will we all be in the same hostel ?

Your stay can be in any of our MIJE Marais properties. We cannot guarantee that all bookings will stay in the same rooms or in the same hostel. A change of room and/or hostel during the stay is possible. The Customer cannot claim any compensation or indemnity because of a change of room or hostel during the stay.

Which hostel will I stay in ?

A few days before your arrival, you will be given the name and address of your hostel. In case of a reservation for several nights, a change of room and/or hostel during the stay is possible. The customer will not be entitled to any compensation or indemnity for a change of room or hostel during the stay.

Do you speak English ?

Our staff speak both English and French.

What are the conditions for cancelling my stay ?

It all depends on the cancellation policy applicable to your booking: firm bookings are non-changeable and non-refundable. Flexible” bookings are non-changeable and cancellable but up to D-4 before arrival.

Will my card be debited when I make a reservation ?

Yes, at the time of booking, the full amount of the stay will be debited. The tourist tax and the annual membership of the MIJE must be paid on arrival.

Can I make a reservation without a bank card ?

A credit card is required to make your reservation on our website hostel.mije.com. Phone reservations are not accepted.

Is there wifi ?

Free wifi is available on the ground floor in each of our hostels.

Are pets allowed ?

No, sorry our pet friends are not allowed excepts for guide dogs, for bookings in private rooms only.

Do you have smoking rooms ?

Smoking in the rooms is strictly forbidden both in the rooms and in the hostel. Same goes for alcohol and e-cigarettes.

Are there any kitchen spaces I can use ?

We don’t have any kitchen areas for safety and hygienic reasons. Cooking in your room is strictly forbidden. If you want to stay for dinner, you can eat at the Fourcy hostel at a moderate price. For more information regarding meals, please ask at the reception.

What time is breakfast ?

Breakfast is offered and served from 7am to 10am. It consists of hot drinks (coffee, tea, or chocolate…), milk, orange juice, cereals, baguette and cereal bread, pastry bar, marble cake, jam, honey, plain yoghurt, compotes.

How long can I stay at MIJE ?

The maximum stay in our hostels is 7 nights, subject to availability.

Any age requirements ?

Our hostels are open to all, with no age limit. People under 17 years of age must stay in a private room with adult companions. Do you have wheelchair accessible rooms ?

We have a few rooms that are accessible by wheelchair. If you need more information on that matter feel free to contact us by mail to check availability : accueil@mije.com

Methods of payment ?

Payments by credit card are preferred (except American Express). We accept cash and holiday vouchers..

Are there any board games ?

You can borrow board games from each reception. Books are also available in the library of each hostel. There are occasional events in our hostels.

Is there a cleaning service during the stay ?

Yes, our cleaning staff work between 12 noon and 3 pm. During this time, we will kindly ask you to leave your room to facilitate their job.

Do you have a luggage room ?

Yes, free luggage storage is available in each of our hostels, with lockers, for use on the day of arrival if you arrive before 3pm and on the day of departure. For security reasons, each piece of luggage must be fitted with a lock and labelled visibly with the name, surname and contact details (address and telephone) of the owner.

How early can I leave the hostel ?

You can leave at any time you want early in the morning, should you do that, please do it quietly and leave your room key at the reception.

Can I check in after 9 pm ?

You will be welcomed by our night team. You will have to report to our day team before 12:00 am the next day to finalise your check-in and to pay the tourist taxes and memberships.

What time do I have to leave the room on the day of departure?

The room must be vacated before 12 noon. Otherwise, an additional night per person will be charged. Free luggage storage is available to help you continue to enjoy Paris.

At what time are the rooms available ?

Rooms are available from 3pm onwards, on arrival date. Feel free to leave your luggage in our luggage room for free if you arrive before then.

Is there a washamatic nearby ?

Yes, a washamatic is a 3 minute walk at 4 rue de Jouy – 75004 Paris. It is open from 9:30 am until 7 pm every day.

Are there hairdryers ?

You can borrow them from the Fourcy and the Fauconnier receptions.

Is there any bed linen ?

Yes, bed linen is provided; towels are for sale at the reception at the rate of 6 euros.

How are the rooms equipped ?

Our private and shared rooms are equipped with single beds and sometimes bunk beds. Each room is equipped with a shower and a washbasin, the toilets are on the landing. There is no air conditioning, TV or phone.

Where can I park my car ?

We do not have parking facilities in our hostels. We strongly recommend that you use public transport. If necessary, the nearest car park to our hostels is the Indigo Pont Marie car park – 48 rue de l’Hôtel de Ville – 75004 Paris.
